Every kitchen produces fat, oil and grease (FOG). At Mechline we feel it is important that each member of staff in the kitchen should be aware of FOG best practice. Our poster can be placed in the kitchen near sinks, handwash basins, drains and any other area which could be inadvisably used for disposing of FOG.
The impact of FOG on pipes, drains and sewers is not only unsanitary but also costly. FOG can and does eventually lead to fatbergs, which leads to blockages and sometimes irreparable damage inside the sewer network.
Our well-known dosing system GreasePak can be installed in a kitchen, set to release bio-fluid into the drain at the kitchen’s chosen time to prevent grease building up in pipework. The specially formulated GreasePak bio-fluid degrades fats, oils and grease, it then cannot reform further down the water network.
